Policing in Cincinnati started in 1789 when the soldiers of Fort Washington patrolled the streets of the Village of Losantiville. Today, about 1,000 highly trained police officers serve Cincinnatians and their visitors. Every step of the way, officers need a station house where they can report to start and end their shifts, bring prisoners, or complete reports.
This program tells the stories of the station houses used by the men and women sworn
to be the guardians of Cincinnati.

Alan March is a retired Cincinnati police lieutenant and founding member of the Greater Cincinnati Police Historical Society. His research into the topic culiminated in the book,
Cincinnati Police Stations, a Brief Illustrated History.
This program expands and elaborates on that work.

Proceeds from the sale of the book, “Cincinnati Police Stations, a Brief Illustrated History,” at the June 12, 2023 program go directly to the Delhi Historical Society!
